Therapy for adults and couples in Toronto
Feeling lonely, unheard, or misunderstood?
EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and Deep Brain Reorienting
You’re experiencing disconnection and unsure what’s getting in the way.
Hi, I’m Alycia
Many people find themselves in this place. You are not alone in trying to make sense of it all on your own. I work with adults and couples in Toronto and across Ontario who want to understand what is underneath these experiences and make changes that feel possible and supportive.
As a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), I draw on somatic, relational, and EMDR approaches to support you in building a more grounded and connected relationship with yourself and the people in your life.
Understand what’s holding you back, make more intentional choices, and build relationships and a life that feel better
My Approach
I offer somatic, relational, and EMDR therapy in Toronto for trauma, nervous system regulation, and connected relationships
-
Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to trauma therapy that helps you gently process and release trauma held in the nervous system. I integrate sensorimotor therapy, parts work (including Internal Family Systems), and breathwork to support nervous system regulation and healing from trauma, anxiety, and stress.
-
EMDR is a gentle, structured therapy that helps you process difficult or overwhelming memories in a way that feels safer and more manageable. While you briefly focus on a memory, you’re guided through simple techniques like eye movements or sounds that help your brain naturally reprocess what you’ve been through. Over time, these memories tend to feel less intense and less stuck in the body.
-
DBR (Deep Brain Reorienting) is a gentle, body-based therapy that helps you process emotional wounds and trauma at a deep nervous system level. It works by noticing subtle sensations in the body, often starting with the earliest moment of shock or emotional activation, so your system can safely unwind and release what has been held inside. DBR is often used to support healing from trauma, anxiety, and attachment-related stress.
-
Relational and attachment therapy is an approach that helps you understand unconscious patterns that may continue to shape how you connect with yourself and others. We gently explore how those earlier experiences may still influence your current relationships and emotions. The work moves at your pace and focuses on awareness, safety, and connection, helping you build healthier relationships and deepen your self-awareness.

Our work together
We’ll explore the parts of you that want to be heard, and what’s shaping your experience, with regular check-ins along the way.
